How to Choose the Right Phone

  • Match the family. iPhone if family has iPhones. Android if family uses Android. This makes video calls and troubleshooting 10x easier.
  • Screen size matters. 6 inches or bigger is easier to read and tap accurately. The Jitterbug and Galaxy A55 both win here.
  • Don't overspend. The iPhone SE does everything a senior needs at half the price of the latest iPhone.
  • Stick to known brands. Apple, Samsung, or Jitterbug only. Cheap unknown-brand Android phones have poor accessibility features.
💡

Before you buy: Ask which phone their closest family member uses. Buy the same brand. It's the single most important factor in whether they'll actually use and enjoy it.
